Every 3 months

You noticed it before anyone else did.

A widening part. A thinner ponytail. More hair in the brush than there used to be. Most women work through a shelf of serums and supplements before anyone actually looks at why it is happening. So we start there: a provider reviews your history, then matches you to a formulation built for your stage of life.

A cluttered pile of unlabeled hair products beside a single tablet on a clean surface

Two formulations. One is built for you.

Hormones shape women’s hair differently across life, so we do not hand every woman the same tablet. Your provider reviews your history and matches you to Willow or Ivy.

Under 45

Willow

Minoxidil, spironolactone, and biotin in one daily tablet. Minoxidil supports blood flow to the follicle and a longer growth phase. Spironolactone helps block the androgens behind hormonal thinning. Biotin supports keratin, the protein your hair is built from.

45+, postmenopausal

Ivy

Minoxidil, dutasteride, and biotin in one daily tablet, formulated for women 45 and over who are postmenopausal or have no pregnancy potential. Minoxidil supports circulation and growth-phase length. Dutasteride lowers DHT, the hormone that shrinks follicles. Biotin supports keratin production for stronger, more resilient strands.

A patient, honest path to regrowth.

Hair grows on biology’s schedule, not marketing’s. Here is what the process actually looks like, including the part other brands don’t mention.

  1. Week 0

    Free consult & review

A provider reviews your history, your hair goals, and which formulation fits your stage of life. Nothing is prescribed by an algorithm.

  2. Months 1-2

    Don’t panic at the shed

Some women notice extra shedding early on. That’s old, weaker hairs making room for new growth, and a known sign the treatment is working, not failing.

  3. Months 3-4

    The loss slows

Daily shedding decreases. Existing hair holds on longer and feels stronger.

  4. Months 6+

    Visible change

This is where density shows up: at the part line, around the face, and in photos. Consistency is the entire game.

  5. Ongoing

    Real check-ins

Your provider checks in around month 3 to see how treatment is going before your next supply ships. Questions go straight to your provider, not a support queue.

Individual results may vary.

On a GLP-1 and noticing more hair in the brush?

Rapid weight loss can trigger temporary shedding. It’s common, and it’s treatable. Because Contour Health manages GLP-1 care too, your provider can look at the whole picture and build a plan that supports your weight goals and your hair at the same time. One provider. One plan. No conflicting advice from two different apps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Two compounded formulations for women’s hair loss, taken as one daily tablet, with or without food. Willow combines minoxidil, spironolactone, and biotin and is formulated for women under 45. Ivy combines minoxidil, dutasteride, and biotin and is formulated for women 45 and over who are postmenopausal or have no pregnancy potential.

Your provider matches you based on your age, health history, and the pattern of hair loss you describe. Age is the starting point, but the clinical review is the final call: your provider confirms which formulation fits you before anything is prescribed. The program is for adults 18 and older with gradual, progressive thinning; sudden or patchy loss, or scalp redness, scaling, or pain, needs an in-person evaluation instead.

Both formulations work on three fronts. Minoxidil supports blood flow to the follicle and a longer growth phase. The hormonal ingredient, spironolactone in Willow or dutasteride in Ivy, helps address the hormones behind thinning: spironolactone helps block androgens, and dutasteride lowers DHT, the hormone that shrinks follicles. Biotin supports keratin, the structural protein your hair is made of.

No. You complete an online request and a full health history form; there is no video appointment. A licensed provider reviews your information, and if you meet the clinical criteria for treatment, reaches out to you directly. Payment is processed only after that, when your medication is prescribed.

Benefits may be noticeable within 3 months of consistent use, and full effects can take longer. Some early shedding in the first weeks is normal: it’s old hair making way for new growth. Continued use is needed to maintain results; if you stop, new growth may be gradually lost over several months. If you miss a dose, take it when you remember, unless it’s close to your next dose. Never take two doses in one day. Individual results may vary.

Side effects vary by formulation. Willow can cause hormonal changes including changes in libido, breast tenderness, upset stomach, menstrual changes, or signs of fluid or electrolyte imbalance such as mood changes, muscle cramps, or tiredness. Ivy can cause hormonal changes, changes in libido, breast tenderness, upset stomach or nausea, and possible mood changes. Either can cause signs of an allergic reaction (rash, hives, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing), which need medical attention right away. Your provider screens for factors like significant heart conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure, a history of hormone-sensitive cancer for Willow, and a history of depression for Ivy, and stays available throughout. That’s the point of provider-led care.

No. Neither formulation is intended for use during pregnancy. Willow requires reliable contraception during treatment for women of childbearing age. Ivy contains dutasteride and should not be handled by anyone who is or may become pregnant: if contact occurs with a broken or crushed tablet, wash the area immediately with soap and water.

In many cases, yes. If you’re experiencing shedding from rapid weight loss, tell your provider during the consult. Because Contour manages GLP-1 therapy too, your plan can be coordinated in one place.

Your medication ships through an auto-refill program: every 3 months, your card is charged $145 ($48/mo) and a fresh 3-month supply ships. Around month 3, your provider checks in on how treatment is going before the next supply goes out. Your first 3-month supply is the minimum commitment. After that, cancel any time by emailing reception@contourhealthrx.com at least 30 days before your next quarterly charge. No cancellation fee. There's no membership fee. Insurance isn't accepted, but you can pay with an HSA or FSA card.
