Why Ongoing Monitoring Matters
GLP-1 therapy is a long-term partnership, not a one-time prescription. Regular check-ins let us catch anything that needs adjusting early, and confirm that your plan is still the right fit as your body changes.
What Check-Ins Typically Include
- A review of how you're tolerating your current dose and any side effects.
- A look at your progress toward your goals, including appetite, cravings, and how maintenance feels day to day.
- A conversation about whether to continue, adjust, or hold your current plan.
How Check-Ins Work
Most check-ins happen through messaging — you'll hear from us (or can reach out) around the time you're due for a refill or a scheduled review. If you'd ever prefer to talk things through live, you can always request a video visit.
How Often to Expect a Check-In
- While you're actively losing weight: roughly every two weeks via messaging.
- Once you're on a maintenance dose: at least once a month.
These are general guidelines — your care team may check in more often if you're adjusting to a new dose, working through side effects, or navigating a taper. You're always welcome to message us more often than that if something comes up in between.
Key takeaway: You don't need to wait for something to feel wrong to check in. Regular check-ins are a normal, expected part of long-term treatment — not a sign that something's off.
Between Check-Ins
- Keep a simple mental (or written) note of how you're feeling, any side effects, and your progress — it makes check-ins faster and more useful. And as always, message us any time something comes up that can't wait.
- team, and message us with any questions.
